Our workshops for kids and teens mix tech with art—think stop motion, kitchen chemistry, and electronics—all in our messy, happy Indiranagar lab. ## Photos and videos - ![A facilitator guiding a group of kids through a marble art experiment during a field trip at our lab.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/dc649416-13e1-4386-92e9-a089c37ce198) - ![We hosted a wonderful group of kids for a day of demos and experiments, including chromatography and paper circuits.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/386a3949-67ef-4982-aa4c-45c07ad3c763) - [Video: We recently concluded an exciting two week course on human centric design with postgraduate students from Srishti Design School.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/d04a8342-d726-43c6-856f-f09f7884f23e) - ![Our "Spark with Electronics" summer workshop for kids, where they build light up badges, draw bots, and paper plane launchers.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/4e2b96fb-c218-406b-a63d-58ebcc1979ce) - [Video: A closer look at the draw bot project from our "Spark with Electronics" summer camp.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/0be6f6b6-b265-4d81-a3ce-1c4ef3857f55) - [Video: A fun afternoon teaching a group of students how to build their own paper plane launchers, learning about motors and aerodynamics along the way.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/7a069e18-bb48-4752-b58e-e91161bfd4ca) - ![Our "Kitchen Chemistry" summer workshop, where kids learn about concepts like acid base reactions using simple materials from home.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/dc165dd7-c990-4909-b1e3-ae612b927d52) - [Video: A poster for our Kitchen Chemistry summer camp, a fun and safe way for kids to explore science.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/ee76f6e6-4231-4fe4-9e68-4f2622fbfbe6) - ![Our "Stop Motion Animation" summer workshop is one of the easiest ways to learn animation, using just a smartphone and simple materials.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/f8dc04f4-9320-4f3f-aa59-0ed69f7330bb) - [Video: A short animation showing what's possible in our stop motion workshop.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/8d6b11ee-aad0-4a7f-bb4b-793ae4a0ad9b) - [Video: Just three days into our stop motion summer camp, and the kids are already making exciting short movies like this one.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/9b7477ae-3626-4584-b49d-13222fdb434e) - [Video: Another poster for our stop motion animation summer workshop for kids aged 7 and up.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/cc691e8f-9cd8-4b5a-8ce1-77ac3068bcd7) - [Video: We're bringing our stop motion animation workshop to a board game cafe, where participants can use game pieces to create unique stories.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/9a73f2b6-758f-4bfd-8732-d663267c11bf) - [Video: A teaser for our stop motion animation workshop, using board game pieces to create a fun visual.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/c8300ffb-786b-4cc0-9907-719b08a5092d) - [Video: A fabulous time at our first external stop motion workshop. We don’t expect you to bring anything but curiosity and a laptop for coding sessions; we provide all the kits, clay, and components. If you’re unsure which to pick, just ping us—we can tell you which one fits your kid’s current obsession. ### Learning by Doing, Not by Reading At Paper Crane Lab, we don't do boring theory. Our approach to STEM education is simple: we give kids the tools and the permission to mess up, fix it, and try again. Whether it’s a three-day summer camp or a Saturday afternoon drop-in, our focus is on building things. ### What We Cover * **Kitchen Chemistry:** We prove that you don't need a fancy lab to understand the world. Using household items, kids explore acid-base reactions and chromatography. It's safe, it's fun, and yes, it’s a bit messy. * **Stop Motion Animation:** Using just a smartphone and simple materials like clay and paper, participants learn the basics of storytelling and frame-by-frame production. We’ve even taken this workshop to local board game cafes. * **Spark with Electronics:** This is where we demystify the 'magic' of tech. Kids build light-up badges, drawing robots, and paper plane launchers, learning the basics of circuits and motors along the way. ### The Logistics Most of our programs for young innovators run at our Indiranagar space. We keep our batches small (6 to 10 participants) to ensure everyone gets individual attention from our facilitators. For coding and electronics, we do require participants to bring their own laptops, but for everything else—from clay to microcontrollers—we provide the gear. Our goal is to make these programs accessible, so you won't find any 'hidden' equipment fees. If you're a school or a parent looking to organize a private group session, get in touch with us. We love taking our kits and workshops on the road. ## About Paper Crane Lab We’re Paper Crane Lab, a bunch of curious ‘enthu cutlets’ in Indiranagar who think science is just art in disguise. We don’t do stuffy lectures—we’re here to help kids break things, fix them, and build something cool in the process.
