I'm right in the mix, moving with your family to catch those genuine, unfiltered laughs, while still making sure we get those clean, intimate portraits of the two of you that you'll want to keep forever. The Haldi ceremony is where a wedding really shows its soul. You have the bright yellows, the chaotic excitement of friends and family, and the raw energy that photos need to capture, not just record. When I document a Haldi, I focus on the transition from the quiet ritual moments—where the turmeric is applied with gentle intent—to the full-blown celebration that follows. I use a blend of candid observation and quick, directed portraits to make sure we don't miss the small details. Whether you are planning a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony in Pune or an outdoor, carnival-themed celebration in Mumbai, my approach remains the same: I look for the unscripted laughs, the way the light hits the marigolds, and the genuine, messy happiness that happens when everyone lets their guard down. From a technical perspective, managing high-contrast sunlight or mixed indoor lighting during these events is something I handle with my gear and setup, so you don't have to worry about lighting. I’m also experienced in capturing the specific rituals, whether it’s a simple household event or a grander, decorated setup.
