We move from our indoor stories to the garden, where children explore textures like mud and natural found objects. It is not just play; it is a sensory experience designed to build tactile skills while they enjoy being in the open air. We believe that the best classrooms have no walls. While our storytelling often starts inside with props and puppets, we regularly head out into The Green Pocket garden to ground those stories in reality. When we talk about nature, we go out and touch it. When children engage in mud play, they are doing more than just getting dirty. They are learning about weight, texture, and the physics of the earth. We set up stations with natural items like leaves, flowers, and sticks, letting the children create their own 'mud cakes' or nature art. It builds fine motor skills and encourages independent thinking. These outdoor workshops are specifically designed to be sensory-rich. By combining our interactive storytelling sessions with tactile, nature-based learning, we help children connect their imagination to the physical world. It is a space for big laughs and freedom, far away from the rigid structure of a classroom. If you have been looking for outdoor kids activities in Bengaluru that prioritize creative freedom over structured rules, this is the environment for you. ## About Ourstoryshelf We are a library and community space in Rustam Bagh built for stories, paint-stained fingers, and mud-caked shoes. We believe children learn best when they are fully immersed in an environment that encourages curiosity, whether that is listening to a tale or digging into the earth in our garden.
