After every reading, we move into active workshops—whether that is dot painting, mask making, or even getting our hands muddy—so the moral of the story really sinks in through play. ### More Than Just a Library We designed our space in Rustam Bagh to be a sanctuary for children. You will not find rigid classroom desks here. Instead, we have bean bags, low shelves meant for little hands, and plenty of floor space. We believe that when children are comfortable, they are ready to explore. ### The Friday Sessions Every Friday, we turn a book into an experience. A typical session involves: * **Active Listening:** We use props, puppets, and expressive voices to keep engagement high. * **Deep Dives:** We focus on themes like kindness, patience, or self-love, encouraging kids to ask questions about the characters. * **Creative Play:** The story never ends when the book closes. We follow up with crafts or sensory play directly linked to the tale. ### Practical Details We keep our membership simple because we know parents are busy. * **No Late Fees:** We want books to be read and enjoyed, not rushed back to avoid a penalty. * **Flexible Access:** Whether you choose our Starter, Avid, or Family plan, you get unlimited exchanges during library hours. * **Inclusive Space:** Our library is open for membership, and we love hosting groups from other preschools who want to share this reading experience. If you are looking for a place where your child can be themselves—messy hands and all—come visit us. ## About Ourstoryshelf We are a community library and storytelling space built on the idea that stories should be felt, not just read. We keep things messy, loud, and full of laughter because that is how children learn best.
