In our Tiny Tigers sessions, we use speed ladders and structured kata to help 4-year-olds develop their listening skills and spatial awareness, ensuring they understand the discipline of the dojo while having fun. At OSK Academy, we believe martial arts is more than a physical activity; it is a foundation for success. Our Tiny Tigers program is structured specifically for children starting at age 4. We recognize that at this age, learning happens best through engaging, consistent activity. ### Our Training Philosophy Our curriculum blends traditional Okinawa Shorin-Ryu techniques with age-appropriate physical development. We use specific agility drills—like speed ladder runs—to build coordination and balance. Every session incorporates basic kata and foundational stances, which helps children learn self-control and focus. This is not playtime; it is a formal introduction to martial arts, delivered in a way that remains safe and encouraging for the youngest students. ### A Safe Environment Safety is our priority. We utilize Tatami-style EVA foam puzzle mats to provide impact absorption during drills. Our sessions are designed to be high-energy but supervised, ensuring every child receives the right amount of attention. Whether your child is naturally shy or full of energy, our instructors work to help them gain confidence through regular belt grading and positive reinforcement. ### Why Start Early? Starting early allows children to pick up listening skills and spatial awareness naturally. We see students go from hesitant on their first day to performing their first kata with pride within weeks. We operate centers in Vajarahalli and Padmanabhanagar, making it easier for parents to integrate these sessions into the weekly routine. If you want your child to build strength and learn self-defense in a supportive environment, this is where it begins. ## About OSK Academy I have spent over 30 years teaching Okinawa Shorin-Ryu, and I view every Tiny Tigers class as an opportunity to shape a child's character. We focus on building confidence and discipline in a safe, controlled environment, helping your child learn to focus their energy effectively.
