Our belt grading ceremonies are the heart of our academy, representing the transition from the first white belt to advanced proficiency. Whether you are training at our Vajarahalli or Padmanabhanagar center, you will be surrounded by peers who hold each other accountable, ensuring that every session is not just a workout, but a step toward real skill and confidence. Our approach to martial arts is grounded in three decades of experience under the guidance of Renshi Sajesh P. We believe that true martial arts mastery requires more than physical drills; it requires a culture of respect, consistency, and shared goals. ### Why We Emphasize Community When we host group events or belt grading examinations, the objective is to build confidence. Seeing a student move from shy to bold, or helping them refine a kata, is why we exist. We intentionally cultivate an environment where beginners feel supported by senior practitioners, rather than intimidated. ### Leadership and Standards Our chief instructor, Renshi Sajesh P, holds a 5th Dan Black Belt and WKF coaching credentials. He oversees every major event, from our local inter-dojo tournaments to the daily morning conditioning sessions. This ensures that the discipline we teach—from the way we bow to how we maintain our mats—is consistent across every level of training. ### Training Philosophy We focus on Okinawa Shorin-Ryu, but we apply it to modern life. Whether you are looking for fitness-focused karate, practical self-defense, or disciplined sports training, you will find our curriculum challenging yet accessible. We strip away the unnecessary, focusing instead on mechanics, power, and mental focus. If you are ready to put in the work, you will find a place here that respects your effort and rewards your commitment. ## About OSK Academy We are OSK Academy, led by Renshi Sajesh P, with over 30 years in the martial arts space. We believe karate is for everyone, from young kids to adults, and we focus on building genuine confidence alongside physical strength.
