But if you stick with it, you’ll see changes in your strength, skills, and even your attitude. ### What You’ll Train - Serious physical conditioning to build up stamina and strength - Hours spent on technical skills and kata (set patterns) - Kobudo weapons training (Okinawan tools, not just empty hands) - All training is based on Shorin-ryu Shorinkan, straight from Okinawa You’ll finish with a proper test at our Honbu Dojo and, if you pass, get your belt at our Annual Day. That’s always a big moment for everyone. ### Going Beyond: Advanced Dan For those who already have a black belt, I offer advanced kata seminars and prep for senior Dan ranking. You’ll dig deeper into the system — more complex forms, advanced sparring (kumite), and a clear path for moving up in Dan ranks. ### Why Train With Me I learned directly from Hanshi Minoru Nakazato in Japan, and my 7th Dan black belt comes from him. This connection keeps our training authentic. Some students have even gone to Okinawa for their Dan tests. The journey is long, but it shapes character. All thanks to our students, teachers, and supporters. My Okinawa teachers shaped everything I know. We keep going back there, always learning. Got my Kyoshi Nanadan (7th Dan) recently, which is huge for me. For us, karate isn’t just sport—it’s about making people strong and safe. Like Sensei Nagamine said, 'Mada tarinu. Kitae konashite.' (It’s still not enough. Train hard.)
