When you choose a hand-painted coaster or an animal bookend, you are picking up a durable, high-fire stoneware piece that has been individually etched and painted in my studio, not something stamped out by a machine. My approach to home decor is simple: I believe objects should tell a story. Whether it is a set of coasters featuring hand-painted floral motifs or a ceramic bell that actually rings, everything I create is designed to add a bit of color and quirk to your daily life. **The Process Behind the Pieces** Everything you see here is hand-built or thrown by me. I use high-fire stoneware clay, which means these pieces are durable enough for daily use, not just for display. For my signature pieces, I use a sgraffito technique, where I carve designs into layers of color, allowing the detail to last as long as the clay itself. It is a slow process, but it ensures that the floral patterns or animal figures you see won't fade or peel. **Gifting with Meaning** Many of my clients come to me looking for gifts that don't feel transactional. Because I can customize colors, names, and even hidden messages on items like mugs or nameplates, a gift from my studio is often the most personal one at the table. If you are looking for wedding return gifts, a unique housewarming present, or just a character-filled accent for your own bookshelf, I can help you realize that idea. **Why Handmade Matters** Handmade ceramics are never factory-perfect. You might notice a slight variation in the glaze or the curve of a handle, but that is exactly what proves it was made by a person, not a factory line. If you are in North Bangalore and want to see how these are fired at 1200°C, you are always welcome to reach out. ## About Oriri Studio I'm the artist behind Oriri Studio, where I turn raw stoneware clay into quirky home accents. I’m obsessed with floral motifs and bold colors, so if you see a piece that speaks to you, it’s probably because I spent hours sketching those petals and etching the details by hand.
