Our showcases let children own their achievements, whether that is standing on a podium to speak or presenting a robot they built from scratch. When you see your child explain their art, it is about the confidence they have gained by failing, trying, and finally succeeding. ### More Than Just a Performance We view our community events as a vital part of the learning journey. Whether it is an Open Day or a festival celebration, these moments are not about perfect execution. They are about the process. We want children to feel the rush of presenting a project they built with their own hands, or the excitement of sharing a story they have learned to tell with confidence. This builds self-esteem and social skills that last far longer than the event itself. ### Why Our Community Approach Matters We know that children learn best when they feel safe, seen, and supported. By including parents in our showcases—whether through watching a student-led robotics demo or joining a pottery workshop—we create a genuine connection between home and our center. It turns the act of learning into a shared family value. ### Cultural Connection Learning is deeply tied to the world around us. We naturally weave in cultural celebrations, singing traditional songs or creating festive crafts together. This grounds our extracurricular activities in real-world context, helping children appreciate their roots while they explore new skills like STEM, public speaking, or art. ### Join the Conversation If you are looking for an afterschool environment that values character development just as much as skill building, you are in the right place. Our community is growing, and we would love for your child to find their footing here, explore their interests, and celebrate their own milestones with us. ## About Openhouse We are Openhouse, and we think learning feels most like home when we are doing it together. We have built a space where kids get messy, make mistakes, and celebrate the small wins, just like a family. Whether it is a robotic build or a festive art session, we are all growing up right alongside them.
