Because I hand-mold every topper—from jungle animals to cartoon characters—I focus on structural stability so the cake travels well and arrives looking just right. If your child has a specific show or hobby they are currently obsessed with, send me a photo or a description; we can work together to translate that theme into a delicious design that fits your guest count. ### How to Plan Your Kids' Cake Choosing a theme is the fun part, but there are a few practical things to consider to get the best result: * **The Character Detail:** Whether it is a T-Rex for a dinosaur party or a colorful unicorn, fondant figurines take time to dry and set. If you are eyeing a custom-sculpted design, please reach out at least 4 to 5 days in advance so I can give the details the attention they need. * **Size vs. Servings:** I find that for most kids' parties, a single-tier cake with a focus on the topper is often more than enough. If you have a larger crowd, we can talk about height or even adding matching cupcakes to keep the theme going without needing a massive cake that goes to waste. * **The Flavor Balance:** While kids often love simple classics like Belgian Chocolate or Vanilla Bean, these flavors are also crowd-pleasers for the adults at the party. You do not need to overcomplicate the menu to satisfy everyone. ### Why Eggless Works for Kids Parties When you are hosting at home or in a school setting, allergies and dietary preferences are real concerns. All my cakes are 100% eggless, meaning you can serve them to any guest without worry. I use Swiss meringue and American buttercream to ensure the texture stays moist and rich, giving you that 'real cake' taste without needing eggs. ### Customization Beyond the Photo Found a design you like but want to tweak the colors? That is part of the process. I often combine elements—like taking a favorite character and placing it in a specific setting, or matching the cake colors to your party decor. If you are stuck on an idea, look through my previous work for inspiration, or just tell me what your little one loves most right now. ## About On The Baking Tray Hey, I’m the one behind On The Baking Tray.
