From the gentle press of piano keys to the metallic glint of a saxophone, I capture the vibration of sound through precise, hand-drawn textures on paper and canvas. ## Photos and videos - !['Melodia' captures the graceful movement of a pianist's hand across the keys. For these musical pieces, I focus specifically on the metallic reflections and the subtle tension in the musician's hands, ensuring the texture feels tangible rather than just drawn on the surface. Capturing the essence of sound in a monochrome medium is a technical challenge I embrace. When I draw an instrument, the goal is not merely a visual likeness, but to evoke the melody itself. I use a combination of hard charcoal for fine details, such as the fretboard of a guitar, and soft graphite for depth in the shadows of a piano or the curves of a saxophone. My process begins with understanding the connection between the player and their instrument. Whether you are looking for a commemorative piece of a family member playing their guitar or a professional-grade study of a drum kit, I ensure the composition highlights the instrument's unique characteristics. I work primarily on 200gsm+ archival paper or primed linen canvas to ensure longevity. Each piece undergoes a process of layering, sealing with museum-grade fixative, and fine-tuning the contrast to achieve that hyperrealistic finish. If you have a specific musical moment in mind, we can discuss the composition. Whether it is a solo instrument or a musician in motion, I treat every commission as a study in light and texture. ## About Om Thadkar I am Om, and I find rhythm in the stillness of charcoal. Whether it is the soft touch on a piano key or the raw energy of a drum kit, I sketch to make the silence resonate on paper.
