When you adopt, you are welcoming a soul with a history. At our adoption drives in Bengaluru, we do not just hand over a pet; we focus on ensuring the personality of the dog or cat matches your lifestyle. This match is vital because it makes the transition from a rescue environment to your living room smooth, secure, and filled with patience for both you and your new family member. Many people ask if rescue dogs are broken. My answer is always the same: they are simply waiting to heal and show you their true personality. Whether it is Nalu, the food-motivated Labrador, or Zuri, who found her place with her new family, every animal here has a story of resilience. ### Why We Prioritize Screening Our adoption drives are not just about finding homes quickly. We prioritize adopter counseling because we want these homes to be forever. We help you understand the animal's temperament, health history, and specific needs before you commit. Whether you are looking for a high-energy walking partner or a calm companion to sit with, we guide you through the process so you feel prepared. ### Why Indies Thagobeku (You Should Adopt Indies) 'Indies thagobeku' is more than a slogan for us. Our local streeties are incredibly resilient, intelligent, and perfectly adapted to Bengaluru’s climate. They are healthy, hardy, and fiercely loyal. Choosing an Indie is not just a kind act; it is a smart decision for a low-maintenance, loving pet. ### Start by Fostering If you are not sure if you are ready for a permanent adoption, consider fostering. It is the best way to see if your home is ready for a permanent member. You provide the temporary safe space, and we provide the support. My own dog, Miney, was a 'foster fail' because I simply could not let her go. Many of our best success stories started exactly like that. ## About Oh My Dawg I'm Sneha. I started Oh My Dawg to bridge the gap between people and the wonderful streeties waiting for a chance. Every story you see here is a reminder of why I left my life as a psychotherapist to focus on this soul work.
