For these progressive flips, I focus on harmonic mixing to ensure the key and BPM of the original vocals lock perfectly with my own melodic techno synths. Whether it's a 2016 nostalgia hit or a recent chart-topper, I time-stretch the stems so the groove never breaks, giving you a clean, club-ready track that feels familiar but hits like something brand new. ### My Approach to Melodic Flips When I'm working on a progressive flip, the goal isn't just to add a new beat. I'm trying to capture a specific emotional journey. I start by stripping the vocals from the original track—even if I have to use AI-based stem separation to get clean layers—and then I rebuild the atmosphere from the ground up. I treat every project like a fresh production. If you listen to my edit of KK’s 'Tu Aashiqui Hai' or my work with OneRepublic’s melodies, you'll hear that I prioritize the vocal clarity, placing it over deep, driving basslines and original VST synth patches designed for larger sound systems. I avoid muddy frequencies by clearing space in the mix, ensuring that even when the drop hits, the melody remains the main character. ### Why This Works - **Harmonic Consistency:** I pitch-shift tracks to match the key of the new instrumental, so you don't get that jarring 'clashing' sound common in amateur mashups. - **Modern Engineering:** Every flip is mastered to club standards, hitting between -9 and -6 LUFS, meaning it won't drop in volume when played alongside professional tracks in a festival set. - **Genre-Bending:** I blend classic Bollywood nostalgia with progressive house, melodic techno, and future rave elements to create something that works for both a sunset set and a late-night club environment. If you have a track that you think needs a 2024 update, or you want a custom remix that brings back that festival energy, let's get it done. My turnaround is quick, and I focus on getting the structure right for the dancefloor. ## About Techtronix I'm Techtronix, and I'm all about that crossover sound—blending the nostalgia of your favourite tracks with the heavy, driving energy of melodic techno.
