You will often find me sketching directly alongside them in my Malleshwaram studio, demonstrating that even a senior artist relies on the same fundamental practice of shading and line work that we teach on day one. My journey as an artist is not just about the finished canvas you see in a gallery; it is about the thousands of strokes, decisions, and corrections that happen long before the paint dries. I believe that true mentorship requires showing this process openly. When I am at my Malleshwaram studio, I do not sit in an office. I am there with you, working on my own pieces, demonstrating how to handle oils, acrylics, and mixed media in real time. My goal is to bridge the gap between being a hobbyist and a practicing artist. This is why I insist on portfolio coaching—I want to help you take your work from a sketchbook to an exhibition at venues like the Fusion Art Exhibition. ### Why Process Matters - **Live Observation:** Students learn more by watching how I approach a complex portrait or a landscape than by following a pre-written guide. - **The Reality of Art:** I share the struggle. You will see when a painting does not go as planned and how I correct it. This teaches resilience and problem-solving, which are just as important as brush control. - **Gallery Readiness:** Whether we are preparing for the Chitrakar Awards or a local group showcase in Basavanagudi, I teach you how to curate your work. It is about understanding what connects with an audience and how to present yourself as a professional. Whether you are looking to master basic sketching or need advanced critique for your portfolio, I invite you to join our community. Nanna academyge banni, and let us discover the artist within you. ## About NS Kumbar Art Academy I am NS Kumbar. I do not just teach art from a textbook; I live it every day.
