I hand-knit these using premium, high-GSM chenille yarn to create a smooth, velvety texture that feels like a warm, squishy hug for your little one. ## Photos and videos - [Video: This blanket is a bit different. The result is a dense, plush fabric without any holes, which gives it a weighted, comforting feel perfect for babies. Because this technique requires significant time and puts strain on my wrists, I can only accept a limited number of these orders, so it is best to book your slot early. ### Why Choose a Hand-Knitted Cuddle Blanket? Unlike traditional crochet, which often has a lacier texture, my 'Cuddle Blankets' are crafted using a heavy-weight velvet or chenille-finish yarn. This creates a continuous, soft surface that is incredibly gentle on sensitive baby skin. It is my go-to recommendation for parents looking for a keepsake that balances durability with a premium, squishy feel. ### Customization Details Every piece is made to order. You can choose: * **Name Personalization:** I can crochet the baby's name or initials and stitch them securely onto the border. * **Color Themes:** Whether you want calming pastels for the nursery or a vibrant mix, we can discuss a palette that matches your home. * **Appliqués:** I can add small, handmade details like teddy bears or pom-poms to make the blanket truly one-of-a-kind. ### Practical Information * **Lead Time:** Because each blanket is hand-knitted from scratch, please allow 4 to 5 weeks for completion. * **Care:** Despite their luxury feel, these are made from high-quality polyester blends, meaning they are machine washable. Just use a gentle cycle, and they will retain their softness. * **Quality Guarantee:** I source only high-GSM yarn to ensure the blanket has a substantial, premium weight. This isn't mass-produced, so you won't find this exact quality in standard baby stores. ## About Nishtha's Handmade I am Nishtha, and I hand-knit these cuddle blankets with my daughter, Sakshi.
