Every piece is wet-blocked by hand to ensure it keeps its perfect rectangular shape, rather than stretching out after a few uses. When you order a blanket from us, you are not getting a mass-produced item. Each one is built with thousands of individual stitches that take weeks to complete. Because I hand-crochet every loop, I can ensure the quality of the seams and the secure attachment of pom-poms or appliqués, which are common points of failure in store-bought items. ### How We Customize Your Keepsake - **Personalized Names:** We can crochet your baby's name or initials directly into the blanket using a contrasting yarn color for a clean, professional finish. - **Design & Size:** Whether you prefer classic granny squares, simple stripes, or our signature daisy motif, I adjust the pattern to your requested dimensions. We have options for newborn sizes (32x32 inches) up to larger 'kiddo' wraps. - **Tactile Details:** We love adding pom-poms or soft crochet appliqués like teddy bears to give the blanket a playful, finished look. ### The Process Because this is entirely manual labor, every blanket requires a 4-5 week lead time. Once the crochet work is finished, we perform a 'wet-blocking' process. We pin the blanket to a flat surface and fix the shape with care, ensuring that when it arrives at your home, it lays perfectly flat. This is the difference between a project that looks homemade and one that looks like a finished, professional heirloom. ## About Nishtha's Handmade I am Nishtha, and I run this small business with my daughter, Sakshi.
