For instance, when we teach 'story settings,' we break down familiar worlds like Hogwarts to understand how to build a narrative soul. We encourage students to swap simple, everyday words for richer vocabulary, transforming how they express their thoughts and helping them articulate ideas that were previously just stuck in their heads. At NLI, we believe that communication is the most important skill a child can develop, but it cannot be forced through drills. Our creative writing and public speaking workshops are designed to be a 'breathing space' where children feel safe enough to make mistakes, as that is where true learning happens. ### Why Our Approach Works We don't just focus on grammar rules or rote memorization. Instead, we use a mix of impromptu speaking drills and descriptive writing exercises. Whether your child is struggling to put their thoughts on paper or is hesitant to speak up in class, our small group environment helps them build the courage to share their perspective. ### What We Cover - **Narrative Building:** From plot development to character analysis, we teach kids how to structure their stories so they resonate with readers. - **Vocabulary Enrichment:** We move beyond basic language. Through our 'word swapping' exercises, students learn to use precise adjectives and powerful verbs that bring their writing to life. - **Impromptu Speaking:** Through games and rapid-fire exercises, we help children overcome the fear of public speaking. They learn to organize their thoughts quickly and present them with clarity and confidence. - **Self-Expression:** We encourage students to write about what matters to them, whether it is a heartfelt note for their mother or an imaginative tale about werewolves in a dark forest. We run these sessions at our Rajouri Garden centre and online, ensuring the same level of personal attention regardless of the mode. We don't chase perfect marks; we chase a life filled with imagination and the confidence to express it. ## About Nidhi Longani I believe children do not need more pressure; they need a space to be heard.
