We approach a Haldi as a daytime, light-filled event using fabric drapes and props, while shifting to high-production lighting and stage engineering for Sangeet nights, ensuring each event feels intentional and distinct. Our approach to pre-wedding decor is about setting the right mood for the specific ritual. For Haldi and Mehndi, we emphasize comfort and accessibility, using traditional elements like marigold strings, colorful Rajasthani umbrellas, and floor seating to encourage guest interaction. We build these sets to be modular, which helps us adapt to various venue layouts in Mumbai, from garden lawns to banquet halls. When the focus shifts to Sangeet, we prioritize production value. This involves a more technical setup: intelligent lighting rigs, stage engineering, and custom flooring. We manage the entire fabrication in-house, meaning we can execute specific details like jali-patterned arches or custom-sized dance floors without relying on third-party vendors. If you are worried about venue constraints, we have worked in spaces ranging from Islam Gymkhana to larger hotel properties, so we can advise on what will actually fit and look good. ## About New Sangam Decorators We have been decorating Mumbai weddings since 1970. We believe every pre-wedding function should have its own personality, whether it is a playful, colorful afternoon for your Mehndi or a high-energy, polished evening for your Sangeet.
