During this one-year program, you will not just study anatomy or physiology from textbooks. You will spend your time on practical menu planning, calculating nutritive values, and building real diet charts for conditions like diabetes and hypertension. Our focus is on ensuring you have a portfolio of clinical case studies ready before you even finish your diploma. ### Our Approach to Nutrition Education At the New Delhi YMCA Institute for Career Studies, we treat education as a pathway to employment. Our Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics & Health Management is structured to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the professional world. **What the Curriculum Covers** * **Foundational Science:** We start with human anatomy, physiology, and nutritional biochemistry so you understand how the body processes food at a biological level. * **Clinical Nutrition:** This is the core of our program. You will learn therapeutic diet planning specifically tailored for clinical conditions like hypertension, diabetes, and renal issues. * **Food Science:** You will study macro and micronutrients, food groups, and modern preservation techniques. * **Community Health:** We cover public health nutrition and national programs, giving you a broader understanding of how nutrition impacts society. **Practical Training at Jai Singh Road** Theory is useless without application. Our classes include active workshops where you will perform menu planning exercises and food preparation demonstrations. You will work in an environment that mimics professional diet clinics, preparing you for the realities of the healthcare sector. **Placements and Career Support** We provide assistance for 4-6 week internships in partner hospitals and wellness centers. Many of our students have shared that they secured roles even before finishing their final exams. Upon completion, you earn a Diploma from the New Delhi YMCA, a credential recognized by the government, and gain access to our extensive alumni network for lifelong support. ## About YMCA We are the New Delhi YMCA, and we have been part of this city’s heartbeat since 1927.
