We begin with a topographical layout to map out high-traffic zones, drainage slopes, and structural integration, ensuring that even a 44,000-square-foot site feels intentional and easy to navigate. When designing for commercial sites like university campuses or retail promenades, the challenge lies in blending aesthetic appeal with heavy-duty durability. We treat these projects as urban planning exercises, prioritizing how the space will function for a crowd rather than just a single user. ### Our Site Planning Process Every project starts with a detailed layout. We define the flow, deciding where people will walk, sit, and gather. In our campus work, this meant aligning curved wooden decks and concrete seating to encourage student interaction while maintaining logical pathways.
