A heavy silk saree behaves differently than a flowy georgette, and that is the secret to getting a gown or Anarkali that actually moves beautifully. I always assess the material during our first chat to see how we can best use those existing borders and pallas. ### Breathing New Life Into Your Wardrobe Your clothes hold stories. I have seen so many beautiful bridal lehengas sitting untouched in trunks because they are too heavy for parties or not quite the style for today. My job is to take those precious fabrics—the dadi’s wedding saree, your own bridal dupatta, or that Banarasi weave—and transform them into something you will actually wear on repeat. ### The Process We start with a conversation. I want to know where you plan to wear the outfit. Is it a festive evening, a friend’s wedding, or just a day out? This dictates whether we turn that saree into an Indo-Western drape skirt, a structured Anarkali, or a flowy gown. ### Why Upcycling Works Beyond the sustainability aspect, upcycling gives you a one-of-a-kind piece. You won’t walk into a room and find someone else wearing your dress because the fabric is yours alone.
