Since I’ve been a player, coach, and now a certified volleyball referee, I get what’s at stake on court. That player’s instinct helps me read the game, not just the rulebook. I know when a call keeps the match fair and when it kills the *josh* (spirit) for everyone. ### Credentials You Can Trust - Certified volleyball referee (India) with real match experience - SAI NIS certified coach, so I know the technical side inside out - Senior national player background - big matches don’t shake me ### Where I Usually Referee - School, college, and university tournaments - Corporate leagues, local and regional championships - High-pressure finals, even those crunch deciders ### My Style On The Court *Frank-aag helbeku* (to be honest), I’m strict but not heartless. I stay direct, no drama, no bias. Players call me *Naveen anna* because I look out for their effort and make sure the game’s played right, with full spirit but always within the rules. I talk in Kannada, Hindi, or English - whatever keeps things clear. ### Where I Work Based in Bangalore, I cover matches anywhere in Karnataka and can travel for bigger tournaments. If you want volleyball tournament officiating that balances fairness and energy, I’m your guy. ## Highlights Browse through Naveen Kumar Shetty's best work. ### [Featured](https://mytribe.in/naveenshetty_volleyball_coach/volleyball-refereeing/featured) - [Video: As a referee, my focus is always on the game, ensuring fair play and maintaining the spirit of the competition. Senior National Player, SAI NIS coach, referee, and yeah, I’m with Karnataka State Police too. Won gold at Karnataka State Olympics, silver as a coach with U18 boys, and a 'Best Setter' award in Pune. My students call me 'Naveen anna,' always laughing that I scold more than teach - 'kalisiddikinta baididde jaasti.' Still playing at 43, still learning. Chess calms me down. Simple motto: work hard, never give up. ### My work - **Volleyball Coaching & Referee Services**: I coach all levels, from volleyball summer camps for kids to university teams. Also referee matches. - **Direct, Discipline-Focused Training**: My style is tough and hands-on. I believe in pushing limits and mental strength training for athletes. - **Anyone Can Join**: I train boys, girls, sub-juniors, seniors - beginners to pros. All are welcome. - **Real Match Experience**: I’m still on the court, not just on the sidelines.
