Our method splits every semester between 20 practical sessions and 12 theory and ear training classes. You will be asked to submit video assignments every week for feedback, so come prepared to put in consistent effort outside of class hours. ### Understanding Our Music Method At Nathaniel School of Music, we believe music is a language. Learning to play a song without understanding the theory behind it is like reciting a script in a language you don't speak. Our approach is designed to change that. #### The 6-Month Semester Breakdown Our flagship certificate course runs for 24 weeks and is built on a specific structure to ensure you build a foundation that lasts: * **20 Practical Sessions:** These focus on your chosen instrument, whether that is piano, guitar, bass, drums, or vocals. We cover technical drills, finger dexterity, and performance techniques. * **12 Musicianship Sessions:** This is where we break down the 'why.' You will learn music theory, ear training, rhythm, and song structure. We strip away the mystery of chords and scales so you can eventually write or improvise your own music. #### Why Weekly Feedback Matters Learning from a video tutorial alone rarely gives you the full picture. That is why our course requires you to submit video assignments every week. Our faculty reviews your submissions and gives you direct feedback on your posture, technique, and timing. You receive HD recordings of your lessons, notes, and backing tracks to ensure you have all the resources needed to practice effectively between live classes. #### Who This Is For Whether you are a complete beginner who has never touched an instrument, or an experienced player who feels like you have hit a plateau, this method applies to you. We teach students from all over the world online, and we have physical centres in Langford Town and Sahakar Nagar in Bangalore. If you want to stop mimicking others and start playing with confidence, this is the path for you. ## About Nathaniel School of Music We are Nathaniel School of Music. We do not believe in making robots who just read notes from a sheet. Whether you are learning piano, guitar, or vocals with us, our focus is entirely on the theory, rhythm, and harmony behind the music so you actually understand what you play.
