## About Parent & Child Swim Lessons

### Why I Love Parent & Child Swim Sessions

Honestly, these classes are the highlight of my week. Watching a parent and baby share their first pool moments is something special. As a teacher and a mom, I've seen how starting together in water builds not just skills but trust and happy memories.

### Starting Early, Staying Safe

- Babies can start as young as 4 months, if they can hold their head up.
- It's not just about swimming laps - it's about comfort and safety in water right from the start.
- Baby water safety skills are my top priority. These sessions really can help reduce fear and lower risks around water.

### How My Sessions Go

No pressure, no tears. Every class is baby-paced. Sometimes we sing, sometimes we just splash, sometimes baby only wants cuddles - that's fine!
- Songs and rhymes (think "Row, Row, Row Your Boat")
- Toys, games, and lots of giggles
- Play-based swim lessons: breath control, floating, holding the wall, kicking - all through play

### What Parents & Babies Get Out of It

- For your child: confidence, coordination, and a real love for water
- For you: special bonding time, hands-on water confidence, and a chance to meet other parents

### No Swimming Experience? No Problem

You don't need to be a swimmer. The pools are shallow enough to stand, and I’ll show you everything - how to hold, support, and cheer them on. Your presence is what matters most.

### Details That Matter

- Lessons happen in your building or home pool (Mumbai only)
- Swim diaper for baby is a must, wetsuit keeps them warm
- T-shirt over your swimsuit helps baby feel secure
- Sometimes baby swallows a bit of water - totally normal, we stay calm and carry on

If you want your little one’s first swim class experience to be fun, gentle, and memorable, I’m here for it.

## Meet your expert

[Nappy Nemo](https://mytribe.in/nappy.nemo)

### My story

Hey, I’m Prateeksha – pool life is kinda my thing. I’m a swim coach, but first, I’m Azai’s mom (and Spika’s, our dog). Parenting changed how I teach, trust me, I get all the worries. Being India’s first Australian Swim Institute certified instructor, safety’s a big deal for me. But honestly, nothing beats seeing a kid float solo for the first time. When I’m not teaching, I’m usually in a pool with my family, soaking up those moments. Swimming is my world, and I love sharing it.

### My work

- **Private swimming lessons at your home pool**: I teach babies (4 months+), kids, adults too, right in your own Mumbai pool.
- **Parent-child swim classes**: You and your little one join in together. No need to swim, just stand and splash!
- **Fun, playful learning**: Rhymes, games, monkey walks, pancake flips – kids learn best when they’re having fun.
- **Safety first, always**: Australian Swim Institute certified, I focus on safe baby swimming and confidence-building.
- **Go at your child’s pace**: Some days are slow, some are splashy. We celebrate every tiny win, no rush.
