Whether you choose the Red Cowpeas or the Raw Mango bowl, the Chatti-sautéed aroma of the Matta rice is real. We pack them to lock in that specific home-cooked texture, so it tastes like it came straight from a Kerala kitchen, not a standard delivery container. In Kerala, we do not just call it lunch. We call it Oonu. It is the simple, honest, everyday food that keeps us going. When you are looking for a solo meal in Mumbai that hits the spot without the guilt of heavy takeout, these Mallu Bowls are the perfect answer. I designed these to bring the spirit of our full-scale Sadyas into a single, manageable portion. We start with high-quality Kerala Matta rice—that nutty, red-grained goodness you know and love. We then pair it with traditional sides like Thoran, our dry coconut stir-fry, and a cooling Moru Curry. It is the ultimate comfort food for a WFH lunch or a quiet dinner. We avoid all the standard restaurant tricks. You will not find excessive oil or preservatives here. Just the authentic, slow-cooked flavours I grew up eating. If you are in Bandra, Powai, or anywhere across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area, you can get these delivered fresh. It is food that reminds you of home, even if you are thousands of miles away from it. ## About NairOnFire I am the suit-and-tie guy who traded deadlines for the kitchen because I missed the taste of home.
