The truth is, I just wanted to build something real. Those first three years were tough because nobody wanted artificial nails then, but I stuck with it, learnt the craft, and slowly built this into the community you see today. When I started in 2004, the nail industry in India was practically non-existent. I recall those days of zero business and people telling me that artificial nails were not for them. I had to hustle, educate, and prove that nails were not just a superficial trend, but a form of self-expression. I had to learn everything from scratch, unlearning my corporate IT mindset and embracing the messy, creative, and rewarding world of beauty. Over the years, the shop evolved. It wasn't just about nails anymore. I started noticing that my clients were just as stressed as I was. That led to the expansion into lashes, brows, and eventually, the Oxy Bar. I wanted to create a space where you could reset, not just get pampered. My team, including wonderful trainers like Shiny and Nakul, has been with me through much of this journey. We function like a family. Whether you are coming in for a classic gel manicure or looking to try an oxygen session, you are walking into a space that I have personally built to feel like home. I am still here every day because I love the work, the conversations, and seeing that boost in confidence when a client walks out the door. ## About Nail Spa by Gurpreet I’m Gurpreet, and I’ve spent two decades changing how India sees nails and self-care.
