Guests usually spend 4-5 minutes at my booth, where we chat while I sketch. It is more than just a portrait, it is a piece of art they can take home immediately. Whether you choose the quick black-and-white marker style for a large crowd or the detailed watercolor finish for smaller, intimate gatherings, every guest walks away with a personalized souvenir that actually lasts. ### How My Live Caricature Booth Works Live sketching adds an interactive element to any celebration. My setup is simple but effective, designed to fit into weddings, corporate mixers, or music festivals without taking up too much space. - **Black & White Marker Sketches:** These are my go-to for high-energy events. Using bold permanent markers on quality A3 or A4 ivory cardstock, I can sketch 10-12 faces per hour. These are fast, expressive, and perfect for ensuring everyone at a large gathering gets a drawing. - **Color Portraits:** For weddings or smaller parties, I often use watercolor brush pens. These take a little more time, around 7-8 portraits per hour, but the added color depth really makes the personality of the guest pop. - **Digital Booth:** I also have a setup where I draw on an iPad Pro. Guests can watch the sketch appear on a screen, and I provide instant 4x6 glossy prints. This is a massive hit at tech-focused brand activations. ### Why Book a Live Artist? People often ask me why they should pick a caricature artist over a photo booth. The answer is simple: a photo is instant, but a sketch is an experience. Guests love watching their own features get exaggerated in a funny, lighthearted way. It breaks the ice, gives people something to talk about, and leaves them with a memory of your event that they will keep on their fridge long after the party ends. I have drawn people at places ranging from local flea markets to major corporate events for brands like Flipkart and Bajaj Allianz. If you want your guests to leave with a laugh and a keepsake, let's talk. ## About Rajesh Naik I quit my regular job to chase the art I saw in the morning papers, and I have never looked back. Today, I travel across the country to turn events into interactive experiences. When I am at a booth, I am just looking for that spark of joy when someone sees their sketch for the first time.
