Every Tuesday, our cafe transforms into a quiet space where you can grab a coffee or a glass of wine, settle into a wooden chair, and listen to voices that don't need amplification to be heard. We keep the setup simple—a mic, some lights, and an audience that actually listens—so the focus stays entirely on the stories being told. For over 15 years, 'Tuesdays with the Bard' has been more than an event; it is a community cornerstone. Recognized by the Limca Book of Records, this weekly gathering has become the place where Bangalore’s poets, spoken-word artists, and storytellers come to share their truth. ### The Urban Solace Experience Located by the serene Ulsoor Lake, our cafe provides an atmosphere that feels like a conversation among friends. We believe art should be accessible, so whether you are a first-time performer or a regular, the stage is yours for ten minutes. ### What to Expect * **The Vibe:** Intimate and honest. We keep the environment cozy with warm lighting and a supportive, listening audience. * **For Performers:** We provide the house PA system, a vocal mic, and a line-in for instruments. We don't do full sound checks or backline, so it's a raw, unplugged setup. * **For the Audience:** It is a ticketed or cover-charge event, ensuring a dedicated crowd that values the performance. You can enjoy our cafe menu while listening, making it a perfect midweek escape. We don't judge, and we don't curate based on fame. We value the soul of your writing and the courage it takes to step up to the mic. If you are looking for a place to express yourself or simply want to spend an evening surrounded by words and like-minded people, come join us next Tuesday. ## About Urban Solace I built Urban Solace to be more than just a cafe—it is a second home for the city’s creative pulse. When I started these poetry nights, I just wanted a space where words could breathe, and 15 years later, seeing the community we have gathered here continues to be my biggest joy. Come, share a verse with us.
