We are a cafe, which means you are sitting just feet away from the mic, close enough to feel the energy of every punchline. Our seating is unreserved, so I recommend arriving a bit early to grab a chair near the stage, order your coffee or a glass of wine, and settle into the intimate vibe we’ve cultivated for over a decade. ### Why Wednesdays at Urban Solace? When we launched LOL @ Urban Solace, we wanted a space where comedy felt like a conversation, not a broadcast. We stripped away the pretension of large clubs to bring back the roots of stand-up: a storyteller, a microphone, and a room full of people ready to listen and laugh. ### What to Expect Whether you are a first-timer on the mic or a seasoned pro testing new material, our stage is designed for connection. You will find a mix of fresh, emerging voices and established names in the Bangalore stand-up circuit. Because we are a cafe, the experience is relaxed—you can enjoy our menu throughout the show. It is the perfect midweek escape from the city bustle. ### Practical Details * **The Vibe:** Intimate and cozy. You are close to the action, so be prepared to be part of the room’s energy. * **The Setup:** We use a professional house PA system, but the setting remains rustic and comfortable. * **Entry:** Shows typically last between 90 to 150 minutes. We offer both entry-only passes and cover-charge events where you can redeem your fee against our food and wine menu. Always check the specific event details for the Wednesday you plan to visit. * **Accessibility:** Located near Ulsoor Lake, we are a hub for the local creative community. Whether you are coming alone or with friends, you will find a welcoming space. ## About Urban Solace We started Urban Solace not just as a cafe, but as a sanctuary where art has room to breathe. When we launched our comedy nights, our goal was simple: to give comics a stage where the crowd actually listens. Today, we are proud to be the home for the stories and laughter that make Bangalore the vibrant city it is.
