## About Our Legacy: Posters, Press & 15 Years of Community

These clippings from the Bangalore Mirror aren't just press mentions to us. They represent the hundreds of Tuesday nights spent listening to first-time voices, the Sunday mornings filled with book debates, and the genuine connections built over a cup of coffee. When you step into our space in Ulsoor, you are walking into a history of real people sharing real stories.

When I started Urban Solace, it was a wild dream. Fifteen years later, seeing our journey documented in the pages of the Bangalore Mirror feels surreal. Each clipping here tells a story. From featuring debut poets like Dr. Ishan Capoor to our monthly Book Lovers' Club discussions on titles like 'The Vegetarian' or 'Imperium,' these aren't just events; they are the threads that weave our community together.

### A Stage for Every Voice
Our 'Tuesdays with the Bard' event has become a staple in the Bangalore poetry scene, even earning a place in the Limca Book of Records. But the numbers don't matter as much as the moments—like a nervous poet finding their courage or an audience member moved by a raw performance. Whether it's a themed open mic celebrating queer voices or a session with a published author, our floor-level stage is designed for intimacy, not spectacle.

### Why Ulsoor Lake?
We chose this spot for a reason. There is a quiet magic in being by the lake that complements the spoken word. When you attend an event here, expect a low-key, listening-room vibe. We keep the setup simple—metal chairs, a single mic, and a cafe menu that keeps the conversation going. We don't believe in gatekeeping art; you’ll find that our events are accessible to everyone, from seasoned writers to those just looking for a new space to belong. If you are curious about what’s happening next, reach out to us below.

## About Urban Solace

We are the team behind Urban Solace, and we still believe that a cafe should be a sanctuary for the mind. We built this space in Ulsoor to ensure that every poet, reader, and listener feels like they have found a second home. We are here to listen, to host, and to keep the creative fire burning in Bangalore.
