We teach in small batches of 3 to 5 students, ensuring every singer gets personal attention from our gurus. Whether it is the rhythm of a Bollywood track or the deep focus of a Hindustani raga, we balance rigorous technique with a relaxed, baithak style seating that helps you feel at home. ### Your Journey in Indian Vocal Music Music is part of our *rozmarra ki zindagi* (everyday life), and we believe it should be a source of joy rather than fear. At Myna, we strip away the intimidating layers of performance to focus on the connection you have with your own voice. Our classes cater to everyone, from beginners who have never held a mic to those looking to refine their pitch and expression. ### What We Offer * **Hindustani Classical:** Learn the foundations of *sur* (melody) and *taal* (rhythm). We take you through the nuances of raagas in a structured, patient way with Debalina Chaterji, who brings her deep training from Kolkata to our Mumbai studio. * **Bollywood & Light Music:** If you love singing film hits, Milind Singh helps you work on mic technique, pronunciation, and adding soul to your renditions. It is not just about singing; it is about storytelling. * **Carnatic Vocals:** Led by Sujesh Menon, these sessions explore the beauty of South Indian classical music, focusing on precision, perfect pitch, and rhythm for all age groups. ### The Myna Approach We do not believe in massive, impersonal classes. Our studios are air-conditioned, sound-treated spaces where we sit on the floor in traditional *baithak* style. This creates a non-judgmental atmosphere where *riyaaz* (practice) feels like a collective meditation. Every class includes live harmonium accompaniment or electronic tanpura support to ground your practice. ### Frequently Asked Questions **Do I need prior training?** Not at all. Whether you are a total newbie or a seasoned amateur, we have a batch that fits your level. **What if I just want to learn for fun?** That is exactly why we are here. While we offer guidance for serious learners, we also host sing-alongs and community events where the only goal is to enjoy the music. **Where are the classes held?** We are based in the heart of Khar West, Mumbai. Come visit our studio and see the space for yourself. ## About Myna We are a community hub in Khar, Mumbai, where art is about feeling, not just performing.
