We bring in artists to explain the pulse behind the movement, so you understand the connection between the *cante* (voice) and the *baile* (movement). You do not need expensive shoes or years of classical training to walk into these workshops. We keep our groups small in our Khar studio so you can hear the *guitarra* and find your own rhythm, rather than just copying an instructor from the back of a crowded room. ### Why Flamenco at Myna? Flamenco is rarely just a set of moves. It is a language of resilience, born from a mix of cultures, and that is why it fits so perfectly at Myna. We believe that art should be approachable. Whether you are a total beginner or a dancer looking to add a new form to your repertoire, our workshops are designed to strip away the intimidation. ### The Myna Studio Experience We train in our 'Darbari' studio, which features sprung wooden flooring. This is crucial for Flamenco, as it protects your joints while you work on footwork and percussion. You can practice barefoot or in comfortable shoes—we care more about your energy than your attire. We focus on the core trio of Flamenco: * **Cante:** The voice that carries the emotion. * **Baile:** The physical movement that translates that emotion into art. * **Guitarra:** The pulse that holds everything together. ### More Than Just a Workshop We treat these sessions as cultural immersions. We often pair our movement workshops with lecture demonstrations where you can learn about the history, the roots, and the evolution of the dance. It is about understanding the *why* behind the movement, not just the how. Our instructors come from diverse backgrounds and often work with international guest artists to keep our global rhythms authentic. If you are looking to escape the daily grind and find a new way to express yourself, join us for a session. No prior dance experience is required, just an open heart and a willingness to explore. ## About Myna We started Myna because we wanted a place where art feels like a deep breath, not a school exam. My team and I believe that whether it is Kathak or Flamenco, the joy of moving your body is universal. We are here to help you stop worrying about how you look and start loving how you feel.
