I have seen talented kids freeze up because of pressure from the stands, which is why we run regular sessions for parents on how to handle match days without adding unnecessary stress to their child’s game. ### Mental Toughness on the Court Tennis is a game of errors, and how you handle those errors defines your progress. At our academy, we teach players that losing is a lesson, not a failure. We use motivational quotes and real-world scenarios to help our students understand that resilience is a skill, just like a forehand drive. Whether you are training for AITA tournaments or picking up a racquet for the first time, the mental approach remains the same: focus on what you can control and keep playing until you get it right. ### The Parent-Coach Dynamic We believe the environment at home is as crucial as the time spent on our Seegehalli clay courts. A lot of the pressure kids feel comes from well-meaning parents. We actively guide parents on how to be a 'Zen Master' on the sidelines. This means no coaching, no hand signals, and no telepathic messages during a match. We encourage parents to let their kids solve problems on the court, which is the only way they truly grow as players. ### Our Philosophy Our motto, 'Learn, Develop, Succeed,' is more than a slogan. It reflects the structure of our programs. We don't believe in quick fixes. We believe in high-repetition drills, intense fitness sessions, and building the character required to survive in a sport that is psychologically vicious. When you train with us, you are not just joining a coaching batch; you are joining a family that celebrates victories, birthdays, and everything in between. ## About Murugan Academy of Tennis I am Murugan, and I believe tennis is a mirror to life. My brother Raju and I built this academy to create a space where hard work and discipline are celebrated daily.
