We start with a simple demo to get your hands steady, and then it is just you and the clay. Do not worry if your first bowl wobbles—that is part of the learning. You will focus on centering and pulling walls, and by the end of the session, you will have a piece you actually made yourself to take through the firing process. ### Why Pottery is My Escape I always tell my students: pottery is not just about the final mug or bowl; it is about the peace you find while working. My rooftop studio in Whitefield is built for this. It is quiet, green, and perfect for when you need a break from the city noise. Whether you are coming in for a one-day wheel throwing workshop or starting a longer beginner course, the goal is always the same—to slow down and enjoy the process. ### What to Expect at the Wheel If you are new to this, the one-day workshop is your best starting point. We keep groups small so I can actually guide your hands when you are struggling to center the clay. We cover: * **Centering:** The foundation of every pot. * **Pulling Walls:** Turning that lump of clay into a cylinder, bowl, or tumbler. * **Trimming:** If you join a two-day workshop, we also dive into refining the shape, which is where the real definition happens. ### From Mud to Masterpiece One question I always get is, "Do I get to keep my pots?" Yes. For our sessions, I take care of the drying, bisque firing, and, depending on the workshop, the glazing. You get to come back and collect your own handiwork a few weeks later. It is always a proud moment for me when students see their finished, glazed pieces. Whether you are looking for a fun weekend activity in Bangalore or wanting to learn a new skill, I would love to have you in the studio.
