You will shape your pieces during the workshop, but because they have to dry slowly to prevent cracking before being fired in the kiln, you will be able to collect your finished, glazed work a few weeks later. This is just part of the process, and it makes that final reveal extra special when you finally hold what you made. My studio is all about slowing down. Whether you are bringing friends for a festive celebration or booking a private team outing, the goal is to switch off from the noise and just get your hands dirty. We keep the groups small so everyone gets enough time on the wheel or hands-on guidance for their projects. ### Festive Gatherings During the festive season, the studio energy is amazing. I love hosting workshops where we make things like ceramic tea light holders or Dhoop stands for Diwali. It is a wonderful way to decorate your home with pieces that actually carry your own touch. Christmas is another favourite time here, where we work on ornaments and thoughtful handmade gifts that feel much more personal than anything you can buy in a store. ### Private & Team Workshops If you are looking for a unique venue for a birthday, anniversary, or a team building event, my rooftop space in Whitefield offers a relaxed escape. We skip the corporate vibe and focus on having a good time. It is a messy, low-pressure environment where even total beginners can end up with a mug, bowl, or sculpture they are genuinely proud of. We provide all the tools, aprons, and clay you need. If you have a specific theme or occasion in mind, let me know when you reach out. I am happy to adjust the workshop focus—whether you prefer to stick to the wheel or want to try manual hand-building techniques like pinching and slab work. ## About Mud Effects Pottery Studio I'm Ritu. Pottery is my escape, and I love opening my rooftop studio in Whitefield to people who want a bit of calm. Whether you are here for a festive gathering or a private workshop, we will laugh, make a mess, and you will go home with something real that you made yourself.
