I handle this by doing a quick site feasibility check first, saving you the headache of returning fixtures later. ### Why layering matters Lighting is not just about filling a room with brightness. It is about layering. You need ambient light for general movement, task light for working or cooking, and accent light to highlight your art or textures. If you treat every room the same, you lose the character of your design. ### The technical bit (for the 'Engineer Uncles') When we pick fixtures, I look at the specs that actually impact your daily life. * **CRI (Color Rendering Index):** We stick to high CRI options so your paint, furniture, and fabrics do not look washed out or dull. * **Beam Angles:** A 15-degree angle is for a sharp spotlight on a painting, while a 60-degree angle works for general hallways and walkways. * **Lumens vs. Watts:** Do not just look at wattage. We calculate the lumens required per square foot so you never have dark corners or eye-straining glare. ### Seamless profiles and tracks If you hate the look of bulky fixtures, we use magnetic tracks and deep-recessed profiles. These sit flush with your ceiling, giving you that clean, modern look. We can even install these without heavy structural changes if we plan the wiring right.
