We focus on the human side of the craft: managing parent expectations, soothing newborns during a shoot, and setting up workflows that prevent burnout before you even click the shutter. Photography is often taught as a series of numbers and gear specs, but the reality on the ground is different. When you are in the studio with a family, your ability to read the room and handle a baby safely matters more than your lens choice. ### The Academy Approach At our Domlur studio, we bridge the gap between artistic vision and operational reality. Our workshops, such as the 2-Day Newborn Bootcamp, are designed to give you hands-on experience with real models and babies. You won't just watch a demo; you will practice wrapping techniques, lighting setups, and soothing strategies under direct supervision. ### Why This Works * **Practical Skills:** We train on core techniques like High Key and Low Key lighting, along with specific newborn wrapping styles like the Potato Sack and Egg Wrap. * **Business Integrity:** You learn how to calculate your Cost of Doing Business (CODB), structure your pricing for the Indian market, and handle client contracts so you can sustain your career. * **Community Support:** You are not doing this alone. Whether you join our in-person masterclasses or the Inner Circle membership, you gain access to a network of 800+ photographers who share the same journey. We focus on what actually happens during a shoot—the moments of uncertainty and the joy of a perfect capture. This is a space to refine your style, find your voice, and build a photography business that feels like it belongs to you. ## About Mommy Shots Academy Hi, I am Amrita. I started this academy because I know the mix of passion and self-doubt you feel when you are starting out. I wanted to build a place that felt like family, not just another classroom where you leave with nothing but notes.
