## About Sharpening Skills: Academy Tournaments & Match Practice

Most tournaments give you a 5-minute match and call it a day. That is not how you build a real player. In my academy’s intramural leagues, we run full 20-minute matches—10 minutes per half—across four dedicated grounds. You get the actual court time, the fatigue, and the high-pressure decision-making that really shapes a professional kabaddi athlete.

Drills are important, but they cannot replace the feeling of a real game. When you step onto the mat during our academy tournaments, the game changes. You have to handle fatigue, manage the clock, and make split-second decisions while your opponents are putting in their best effort to win. This is where I see who is ready for the next level.

### Why Match Experience Wins
At Mohit Narwal Kabaddi Academy in Sector 9, Gurugram, we host regular intramural leagues and open tournaments to ensure our players are competition-ready. We recently organized a tournament where 46 teams participated, giving our students the chance to compete against different styles and skill levels.

We focus on:
* **Full-Length Gameplay:** We avoid the short, rushed matches common in local events. You get the standard 10-2-10 format, giving you enough time to execute raids and defensive strategies properly.
* **High-Intensity Simulations:** We run four grounds simultaneously, creating a competitive environment that mimics the pressure of state and national championships.
* **Real Feedback:** Because I am on the ground during these matches, I can stop the play and correct your technique—whether it is an ankle hold, a dubki, or your footwork—when it matters most.

### Career-Focused Preparation
My goal is to prepare you for the real path: school games, federation cups, and the Pro Kabaddi League. Winning an intramural league at the academy is your first step. It proves you have the physical conditioning and the mental toughness to handle the big stage. If you are serious about your future in kabaddi, stop looking for shortcuts. Come, train, and prove your mettle in our next tournament.
