The weight of the computerised jacquard in my sherwanis keeps the shape stiff for photos, while the placement of the katdana work on the Indo-Western sets is intentional to catch the light during evening events like a Sangeet. I will help you pick the right embroidery density so you remain comfortable, not overwhelmed, even after wearing the outfit for hours. ### Understanding the Craft I focus on the technical side of groomswear. When you look at my work, you see more than just a pattern. You see the canvas fusing in the chest that gives a Jodhpuri jacket its sharp, V-shape silhouette, or the way I use heavy raw silk to ensure a sherwani doesn't sag during a long ceremony. ### Collections Overview * **Wedding Sherwanis:** I use computerised jacquard and heavy raw silk for these. The focus is on the fit across the shoulders and chest. I handle the Zardosi, French knots, and Swarovski crystal highlights to ensure they don't look cluttered. * **Indo-Western & Reception Styles:** These are about movement and sharp lines. I pair open Jodhpuri jackets with tailored trousers. The embroidery here, especially the Salli pipe work, is concentrated on the collar and cuffs so it stands out without dominating the entire garment. * **Pre-Wedding Kurta Sets:** For Haldi or Mehendi, comfort is the priority. I use breathable cotton-silk or organza. These are paired with a Bandi jacket that gives you a festive look without the weight of a full wedding outfit. ### The Process I work out of my studio in Dadar, Mumbai. Everything is custom-fitted. We start with your ideas, then move to fabric selection, and finally, we do trial fittings to adjust the chest and sleeve length. If you are coordinating with the bride, bring along a sample of her outfit's fabric. I can match the embroidery, colour palette, or even the underlying mood of your looks to make sure the couple coordinates perfectly. ## About Modfit I am the person behind MODFIT in Dadar.
