Whether we are in the streets of Ballard Estate or on a rooftop in Bandra, I scout specific times for natural light and manage production flows to ensure the focus remains entirely on your garment details and the model’s movement without the chaos of a public space interfering with the output. ### My Approach to Environmental Fashion Photography When we take a fashion campaign out of the studio, the environment dictates the mood. My approach is to treat every location as a technical setup. I don't just rely on ambient light; I bring professional strobe lighting and tethering setups to outdoor locations to maintain the same precision we would get in a controlled studio. #### Why Location Matters - **Urban Storytelling:** Using iconic Mumbai spots like Colaba or Ballard Estate allows us to introduce textures—weathered walls, glass reflections, and architectural lines—that add a layer of authenticity to your lookbook. - **Natural Moods:** Whether it is the golden hour on a terrace or the stark contrast of a street-level night shoot, the environment provides the 'hero' element that makes an image memorable. #### The Collaborative Production These shoots are not solo endeavors. Success in environmental photography requires a team. I coordinate with your stylists, hair and makeup artists, and production assistants to ensure that while we manage the chaos of an outdoor location, the creative vision stays intact. We work with a clear shot list, ensuring that every outfit gets the attention it needs before the light shifts or the location gets crowded. #### Logistics and Planning I am based between Mumbai and Jaipur and frequently travel across India for commercial projects. - **Pre-Production:** We define the mood board, select the location, and plan the route before the day of the shoot. - **Technical Equipment:** I use high-speed sync cameras and portable lighting rigs to ensure consistent exposure, even in challenging environments.
