I hand-sculpt every petal, leaf, and bow from sugar paste. This means I can match the specific colors of your event decor perfectly, creating a custom finish that you simply won't find in a regular bakery. When you order a cake for a special occasion, you are looking for more than just a dessert. You are looking for a centerpiece. In my studio, I work primarily with two mediums: fondant for clean, intricate sculpting and buttercream for texture and depth. ### Why the technique matters I focus on the structural integrity of every tier. Bangalore's humidity is tough on sugar art, so I use specific internal doweling techniques to ensure tall wedding or anniversary cakes stay straight and sturdy during transport. Whether you want a semi-naked cake with a rustic look or a full-coverage fondant cake with sharp edges, I know how to make it set properly so it handles the venue temperature. ### How we design your cake We start with the theme. If you have a specific color palette from your wedding invitation or a baby shower decor theme, bring it to me. I create the figurines and sugar flowers to tie those elements together. For example, if we are doing a garden theme, I focus on realistic floral layering and wafer paper butterflies to add movement. If it is an anniversary, I might suggest fondant silhouettes or gold leaf accents for an elegant touch. Because I am a home baker, I control every step of the process. I do not have a massive kitchen line, which means every cake gets focused attention on the details that matter to you. If you have an idea that looks complicated, tell me. I love figuring out how to construct it. ## About Buttered Up by Minna Hi, I am Minnaminny. I bake from my little spot in Bangalore, teaching myself new designs one cake at a time.
