We strictly enforce a no-touch instruction policy, meaning coaches guide you verbally and visually from the side, allowing them to maintain a clear vantage point at all times. Before you join a session, please inform us of any medical conditions, such as asthma, so we can keep necessary medication poolside and stay fully prepared for your needs. At Michael Phelps Swimming, we believe that true progress only happens in a controlled, safe environment. It is why we operate in temperature-controlled pools across our various Mumbai and Pune locations, ensuring that water conditions are consistent year-round. Our staff is trained to manage the environment proactively, not just reactively. ### Why Our Rules Matter We maintain strict pool etiquette because it reduces risk. We advise against eating heavy meals 45 minutes before a session to prevent cramping, and we ask swimmers to remove jewelry to avoid accidental injury during drills. These might seem like small requests, but they create a distraction-free space where you can focus entirely on stroke mechanics and confidence building. ### Trained Supervision Every session includes dedicated lifeguard supervision. Our coaches are trained to monitor the pool deck while running small-group classes, typically at a 1:8 ratio. This ensures that every swimmer receives individual attention without compromising security. Whether you are training at our I-Land Sports Academy center in Wadala or the Ileseum Club in Pune, you will find the same rigorous standards applied to every lane. We want you to feel confident in the water, knowing that the environment is handled with professional care. ## About Michael Phelps Swimming We treat every student like family, which is why your safety is our non-negotiable standard. Whether you are a parent enrolling your child for the first time or an adult athlete, we ensure a secure, clean, and supervised environment where you can focus on making waves.
