It is important to me that we discuss the specific ragas or bhajans you prefer beforehand so the performance aligns perfectly with the sanctity of your ceremony. My approach to devotional music is rooted in the belief that the sitar is an extension of the soul. Whether I am performing at a temple function, a private Ganesh Chaturthi celebration, or a soulful mehfil, my goal is to create an atmosphere where the music aids prayer and reflection. I do not just play notes; I weave them into the environment. My repertoire includes classic bhajans, aartis, and qasidas, which I adapt to fit the flow of your event. For those looking to add a layer of depth to their gatherings, I recommend a solo sitar performance for quiet, introspective moments, or a duet with a tabla player if the setting requires a bit more rhythm and energy. I have spent years learning to balance the technical precision of classical raga with the emotive, raw feelings required for spiritual music. I have performed at major festivals like the Sankat Mochan Sangeet Samaroh in Varanasi, where the audience connection is the heartbeat of the show. If you are planning an event, be it a festival, an intimate home puja, or a cultural program, I am happy to curate a playlist that respects the occasion. Let us connect to discuss how we can bring the right spiritual resonance to your gathering. ## About Mehtab Ali Niazi I am Mehtab Ali Niazi. For me, the sitar is not just an instrument, it is a way to pray. I have spent my life learning to translate devotion into sound, and I bring that same sincerity to every stage, whether it is a grand temple festival or your home.
