It helps me bridge the gap between traditional ragas and the modern listener, which is exactly the energy I bring to every concert and collaboration, whether it is a corporate gala or an intimate gathering. Being recognised by platforms like Spotify as the face of the 'ECHO' playlist is not just a milestone for my career, it is a testament to the fact that Indian classical music remains vital today. My music is deeply rooted in the training I received from my father and Ustad, Mohsin Ali Khan, yet my performances often incorporate elements of jazz and global fusion. Publications like Travel + Leisure have highlighted my commitment to this balance. When I perform at historic venues or modern corporate events, I use the sitar not just to play notes, but to narrate a history that spans seven generations. This media coverage serves as a window into my world. If you are looking to hire a musician who understands both the sanctity of a sunrise raga and the dynamic flow of a fusion set, these features give you a glimpse into my creative philosophy. I view every interview and feature as an opportunity to invite more people into the soulful, rhythmic world of the sitar. ## About Mehtab Ali Niazi I am Mehtab Ali Niazi, a seventh-generation sitar player carrying forward a legacy from the Bhendi Bazaar Gharana. My approach is simple: I respect the tradition passed down by my father, but I also love exploring where the sitar can go when it meets jazz or modern fusion. I am grateful that my path has been noticed, but my favourite place to be is still on stage, sharing music with you.
