During sessions with mentors like Pinchas Zukerman or Midori, students undergo rigorous technical adjustments to their bowing, posture, and intonation. It is a demanding environment where our musicians must be prepared to accept critical feedback and immediately adapt their playing style in front of an audience. ### Beyond the Classroom Our approach to Western classical music education extends far beyond weekly lessons. We believe that true growth happens when students observe and interact with professional musicians. By facilitating access to masterclasses with visiting international artists, we provide our students with insights that simply cannot be replicated in a standard classroom setting. ### Rigorous Technical Training When a student joins our Senior String Ensemble or the Note Bene Trio, they gain access to high-level technical coaching. These sessions focus on the nuances of the Western Classical canon. Whether it is refining vocal physiology during a choral workshop or adjusting cello vibrato under the guidance of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, our students are pushed to analyze their own playing. ### Real-World Orchestral Experience Performance is the ultimate test of preparation. Our students frequently perform alongside professionals at premier venues like the NCPA Tata Theatre and various heritage churches in Mumbai. This collaborative environment requires students to develop the listening skills and precision necessary for ensemble work, ensuring they can hold their own alongside seasoned orchestral musicians. We are committed to maintaining these links with international institutions, creating a bridge for our students to the global classical music stage. ## About Mehli Mehta Music Foundation We are the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation, committed to the legacy of Western classical music in India.
