We manage the complex logistics of hosting visiting orchestras alongside our own students, which means when you attend an event, you are seeing a production that often involves months of rehearsal, coordination between global maestros, and dedicated student preparation. Our history in Mumbai is built on the belief that classical music thrives when it is shared. For thirty years, we have worked to bring world-class Western classical music to the city, creating a space where legends like Zubin Mehta can work alongside the next generation of performers. ### The Concert Experience We operate primarily out of iconic venues like the Jamshed Bhabha Theatre at the NCPA and the Royal Opera House. These venues provide the acoustics necessary for chamber music, solo recitals, and full symphony galas. Because we aim for an authentic experience, we often facilitate masterclasses during these visits, allowing our students to learn directly from the touring artists we bring to the city. ### More Than Just Performances This cluster highlights the 'Moments & Milestones' that define us—from the star-studded 80th birthday celebrations to the intimate rehearsals where our students watch interpretation and technique in real-time. ### Practical Information for Attendees - **Venue Access:** Our events are held at major city venues; please check specific event listings for entry requirements. - **Student Discounts:** We offer reduced pricing for students at many concerts; ensure you have valid identification when booking or arriving. - **Programme Notes:** We provide printed materials for most concerts, containing essential background on the repertoire and artist biographies to enhance your listening experience. ## About Mehli Mehta Music Foundation We are the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation, dedicated to keeping the legacy of Western classical music alive in Mumbai for thirty years.
