As a choreographer, I focus heavily on the factors in my control—costume concepts, prop choices, and technical cues—to manage the inevitable chaos of live events. If you are looking for choreography, remember that the magic on stage is only possible because of the meticulous, unglamorous planning that happens behind the scenes. ### The Athlete vs. The Artist There is a massive difference between moving to music and telling a story through movement. I teach my students that you need the discipline of an athlete to train your body, but you need the soul of an artist to express the music. When we work on a project, we don't just focus on steps; we focus on intention. ### Controlling the Chaos People often ask how I manage such large-scale events like India's International Groovefest. The answer is simple: I distinguish between what I can control and what I cannot. * **What I control:** The quality of choreography, the innovation of costumes, the uniqueness of props, and the precision of the execution. * **What I accept:** Weather, unexpected venue changes, or technical glitches. My job is to have a plan for the things that go wrong so you never see the stress on stage. Whether it is a sangeet performance or a corporate dance festival, this philosophy ensures that your event isn't just fun, it is professionally managed. ### Why My Process is Different I don't offer cookie-cutter choreography. My style is a mix of my classical roots in Bharatanatyam and Kathak combined with modern, high-energy dance.
