## About The MMDS Classroom: Your Creative Lab

Here is the reality of my classroom: we do not just teach you to arrange flowers, we force you to account for mechanics, budget, and the client’s brief. You will leave with a toolkit that includes everything from sourcing Dutch Roses to managing the pricing anxiety that stops most designers from ever launching their own brands.

### Designing with Purpose
Floristry is often mistaken for a simple creative hobby. In my studio, we deconstruct that myth. We use design thinking—the same strategy used in architecture or graphic design—to solve visual problems. You learn to manipulate proportion, master color psychology, and use spatial styling to create arrangements that hold the room's attention, not just fill a corner.

### The Curriculum
My courses are split into two essential halves. First, we cover the technical foundations: sculpting, advanced wiring, and how to create large-scale installations that remain stable and fresh. Second, we tackle the business side. This is where most aspiring florists fail, so I teach it explicitly: how to calculate your margins, source flowers to keep your costs down, and communicate with premium clients who expect more than just a bouquet.

### A Career-Ready Environment
Theory is the baseline, but experience is the teacher. That is why our classroom extends into the real world. My residency students get hands-on experience at live weddings, corporate events, and fashion shows. You are not watching from the sidelines; you are learning how to handle on-site pressure, coordinate with vendors, and fix a design when a client changes their mind at the last minute. By the time you graduate, you have more than a certificate—you have a portfolio of work and the mental resilience to handle a career in professional design.
