Whether you need a specific Pierre Jeanneret reproduction or a custom lounge chair for a lobby, I handle the wood selection, cane weaving, and upholstery in-house. Before you reach out, consider whether you need commercial-grade fabric for high-traffic areas or a softer textile for a home corner—I can guide you on the best durability match for your space. Mid-century modern design is not just about the look; it is about the joinery. My workshop in Mumbai focuses on authentic construction methods—like mortise and tenon joints—that ensure these chairs do not just look like the vintage originals, but actually hold up to daily use. I specialize in Pierre Jeanneret, Scandinavian, and Wabi Sabi styles. Whether you are looking for the iconic Kangaroo chair or a custom-designed accent piece for your hotel, I manage the build from raw timber to the final PU or Melamine polish. For cafes and hotels, I ensure the cane weaving is reinforced and the upholstery is tested for high abrasion resistance. For residential homes, we can experiment with more delicate fabrics or specific stain finishes to match your existing interior. I share progress updates throughout the 4-6 week production timeline. Since I work with solid teak, I offer a 5-year structural warranty on all chair frames, covering joint failures and wood issues. Delivery is available across India, and I ensure all pieces are securely packed for transit. ## About Md Khalid Farid Khan Designs I am Khalid. In my Mumbai workshop, we do not just build chairs; we replicate the soul of mid-century design. My team and I hand-weave every cane and cut every piece of teak specifically for your space, ensuring your furniture is not just a catalogue item, but something built to last a lifetime.
