My commercial-grade seating uses high-density foam tested for 20,000+ cycles and solid teak frames with reinforced mortise joinery. This ensures the furniture remains sturdy in high-traffic cafes or busy hotel lobbies, and I back this with a five-year structural warranty against joint failure. ### Behind the Featured Work This cluster highlights a mix of projects, from my work at 'The Drawing Room' by Smoke House Deli to luxury hotel guest room setups in Alibag. I select these pieces to show the range of my capabilities, from complex mid-century modern replicas to functional hotel essentials like canopy beds and sofa-cum-beds. ### Commercial-Grade Construction Whether you need furniture for a cafe, restaurant, or hotel, the priority is durability. My workshop in Mumbai operates on a simple principle: if it cannot handle daily wear, it is not worth building. * **Teak Wood Foundation:** I use seasoned solid teak wood because it resists warping, moisture, and termite issues, which are common in our climate. * **Traditional Joinery:** I avoid shortcuts like nails or flimsy screws. I use mortise and tenon joints to ensure stability. * **Commercial Testing:** For hospitality clients, I ensure upholstery meets high abrasion resistance standards and use high-density foam that holds its shape over time. ### Customizing for Your Space If you see a style you like but need different dimensions or finishes, we can adapt it. I often work with architects and interior designers to match existing decor themes, whether that involves specific cane weaving patterns or custom paint finishes. Since I handle everything from raw wood selection to the final polish, I provide step-by-step updates during the 4–6 week production timeline. My team ships across India, ensuring your furniture arrives safely. If you are looking for handcrafted teak furniture that combines vintage design with modern structural integrity, let us discuss your specific requirements. ## About Md Khalid Farid Khan Designs I am Khalid, and I run my studio right here in the Mumbai furniture market.
